PC-USA member church
PC-USA church’s are member run. We are connectional churches.
Our governance structure is defined by our Book of Order.
Session:
Connectional churches, like NRPC, operate under a shared governance structure. We have a parent organization the PC-USA, which contain Synods. Each Synod contains presbyteries, which are made up of individual churches governed by Sessions. Session members are elected by congregation members and have 3 year terms. The pastor (teaching elder) is a member of the session, but remains impartial as the moderator. This is described in detail in the book of order.
NRPC Membership:
NRPC Session asks that individuals interested in membership reach out directly to our pastor Meredith White.

NRPC Affiliates:
Many of us attend worship without official membership. NRPC’s worship experience celebrates all who attend. We welcome all to the communion table.
It is important to note that at formal congregational meetings, affiliates cannot participate in governance. So votes by affiliates cannot be recorded.
Access to the shared governance structures is gained through a membership process. This is typically accomplished via: transfer of a membership in good standing from another church, or via a discernment process with the session through new member classes.
